The name generator functions by using various name-style templates, either pre-designed or user-created; each template consists of various adjectives, nouns, verbs, and connective words. Hopefully there will be very few nonsensical results, but some personal judgement is required. Don’t forget you can pluralize, change tense, ‘verb’, or add suffixes (like ‘-ly’, ‘-est’, or ‘-er’) to words as you like. Please let me know if anything really unworkable shows up so I can fix it.

The pre-made templates are hidden when this page loads, you can reveal or hide them by clicking Open/Hide This Section below. Note that the pre-made templates do not include all the options found in the user-defined dropdown templates, so you can create a wider variety of designs for names with user-defined templates. Note: if you choose multiple templates, the template used will be randomly picked from among those templates for each name.

To make names, you can either use the dropdowns and boxes to generate a particular type from the various word possibilities or choose a pre-made template, then select the number of names to generate (the selected default is ten names); or click I Feel Lucky to generate ten names from random pre-made templates.
